Pretty & Polished: Almond Biscotti Cuticle Oil

Product given to me for review

Hey everyone!  I've got something a little different for you all today:  Pretty & Polished's Almond Biscotti Cuticle Oil!

Ingredients:  Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Limnathes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Fragrance

What I liked:

This is probably the best cuticle oil I've ever tried!  It feels very nourishing and it makes my cuticles and nails feel healthy and moisturized.  While it is obviously an oily substance, it absorbs quite well, so it doesn't feel gross.  If you accidentally use too much (a little goes a long way, and it can be easy to overdo it) , just blot off the excess with a towel.  As far as the scent goes, it does indeed smell like biscotti.  If I apply it before bed, I wake up to discover that it smells as if I'd been baking in my room!  In the future, I'd really like to try one of the other scents offered (Fruit Punch and Tropical Souffle).

What I didn't like:

I'm not a fan of the packaging and would prefer that it come in a polish bottle instead.  It's easy to dispense too much with the eye dropper, and dipping a long, thin piece of glass into an open, tall, glass vial full of oil is sort of a tricky proposition.  I'm always kind of afraid that I'm going to spill it.  I would also prefer plastic labels, since the paper labels absorb oil if you handle the bottle with oily fingertips.

The bottom line:

I love the product, but I dislike the packaging.  Fortunately for Pretty & Polished, the oil itself is so nice that I would still buy it despite  my isseus with the packaging.

How to buy:

Pretty & Polished's cuticle oils cost $4.50 for 7.3mL of product and can be found at Pretty & Polished's online store.  To stay up-to-date on the latest Pretty & Polished news, Like them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter and Instagram!

  1. Great review on this! I'm always on the look out for cuticle oil and this one sounds nice :)

    1. I really do love it, it feels like it's actually DOING SOMETHING, you know? I've used other oils, but they all feel as deep-down nourishing as this one does.

  2. Awesome review. It's good to know stuff like that on the packaging. One of my fave cuticle oil applicators is Julep's, which is a glass bottle with a roller ball. No possible way of mess leaking everywhere since the bottle won't get squished when squeezed, and the roller balls lets you apply it evenly.

The smell on this one sounds awesome, though. I think if I put Almond Biscotti oil on before bed, I'd wake up with my fingers in my fiance's mouth.

    1. If I'm not mistaken, P&P actually used to use a rollerball applicator, but it leaked, so they switched to this. I think I'd be okay with the eye dropper situation if the bottle weren't so tall. I'd just like to feel like it's a bit more secure :-).

I keep craving cappuccinos because of the smell! A local Italian restaurant serves their cappuccino with an almond biscotti cookie on the side, and it's so good :-(
