Different Dimension: Never Grow Up and Today Was A Fairytale

Ugh, you guys, I am miserable.  I'm on week 2 of mysterious tooth pain and it's driving me insane.  My dentist can't find any apparent cause for it, and I basically have to just wait for it to get worse and show some sort of obvious sign of what the problem could be.  It's ridiculously distracting and I'm so sorry that it has disrupted my posting schedule.  Please forgive me!

Since I'm a huge Taylor Swift fan, I'm super excited to be showing you some Taylor-inspired polish from Different Dimension!

"Never Grow Up" (the song) is a hidden gem off of Taylor's third album.  It emphasizes the importance of not growing up too fast and deals with the harsh realizations that come with adulthood.  This song makes me hope that Taylor will do a lullaby album someday!  I think she would be really good at it!

Different Dimension's Never Grow Up (the polish) is a bluish-white crelly base filled with blue shimmer and several sizes of blue and silver circle, square, and hex glitters.  It;s a very sparkly mix, since some of the glitter is metallic and some is holographic!  This polish is very sheer, so you'll need to either use a base color or do at least 3 coats of the polish on its own.  The formula is surprisingly thin, but your end result will still be rather bumpy and uneven due to the size and quantity of glitter.  The glitter and number of coats also cause your nails to look quite thick.  I did not have to fish for the largest glitters (yay!).  Dry time was average.  Shown is 3 coats of Never Grow Up (plus top coat, of course).

"Today Was A Fairytale" (the song) is widely regarded as Taylor's weakest piece, both lyrically and vocally, but it's still pretty cute.  It was released on the soundtrack for the movie "Valentine's Day" back in 2008.  I play this in the car after every outing with my fiance (seriously, even if it was a terrible day or we just ran to the drugstore or something), and sometimes we change the lyrics to reflect what we did that day (like that time we sang "today was a total fail" after everything went wrong lol).  My fiance even proposed to me while wearing a dark gray T-shirt because that's one of the lines in the song (awwwwww!).  So yeah, even though the song isn't the best, it really means a lot to me.  There's just something wonderful about laughing and scream-singing "IT MUSTA BEEN THE WAY YOU KISSED MEEE!" after a long day with the one you love <3

Different Dimension Today Was A Fairytale (the polish) is a pinky-white crelly base filled with lots of pink shimmer and many sizes of pink and silver circle, square, and hex glitters.  Some of the glitter is metallic and some is holographic, so there's a lot going on there!  This polish is very sheer, so you'll need to either use a base color or do at least 3 coats of the polish on its own.  Like Never Grow Up, Today Was a Fairytale had a surprisingly thin formula, but the amount of large glitter in it did cause a thick, bumpy, uneven appearance on the nail.  The glitter and number of coats also cause your nails to look quite thick.  The largest glitters came out with ease and no fishing was required.  Dry time was average.  Shown is 3 coats of Today Was a Fairytale (plus top coat, of course).

Despite the lumpiness, I thought these polishes were very pretty!

    1. Aww, thanks, hun! Unfortunately, I don't think I'm going to be able to complete my end of the deal...the whole "nominate 15 other people" part really triggers my anxiety and makes me uncomfortable (I would feel like I was imposing myself on them...and I just can't handle putting myself out there like that). I'm so sorry, please feel free to nominate someone else in my place :-(

  2. These are both gorgeous! And lol big surprise at you buying the T-Swizzle polishes. They could be chunky browns and you'd still have bought them for the names!
