Hey guys! More purple for you today! I've been really excited about these duos Pahlish has been putting out lately, and I couldn't wait to put on the Darling Heart September Duo!
Tenderest Touch is a dusty plum creme filled with "iridescent charcoal micro-flakes, violet glass-fleck shimmer, and fine purple shimmer." Basically, it's a nice, soft, moody fall color with a bit of sparkle. The first coat goes on a little sheer and almost fuzzy (some of the flakes sit a bit upright on the nail at times), but by the second coat, it's opaque and smooth. Dry time was average. Shown with top coat.
Pardon the glare!
Darkest of Marks is a clear glitter topper featuring red microshimmer and a mix of orange, brown, and pinky-red glitters. The formula was good, though the glitter applies a bit sparsely. I'm sure many of you will appreciate this more conservative glitter coverage, but glitter lovers like me will probably want to do one and a half or two coats (I did one and a half). Dry time was fast. Shown with top coat.
In shade. You can see the glitter a bit better here
I thought this mani went nicely with my plaid shirt!
Overall, I think Pahlish's Darling Heart September Duo is perfect for fall! It also makes for a classy and subtle Halloween look!
